Dark Night, 2012

Sometimes, when you’re deep in self work, and all of the things you thought were true statements are now questions, it can throw off your internal system of knowing who you are and your place in the world. Sometimes, you don’t need to be deep in self work, sometimes it just happens. Sometimes you can think that you are born in the wrong time, or don’t know why you were born at all. Sometimes it feels like you’re all alone, the universe has left the building, and you’re just treading water by yourself, with noone to help and noone who cares.

At the time of this painting, I was thinking all of these things, deep in self work; my intrinsic being was going through immense changes. The thing is, if you’re going through it, you can’t just pop out of it, you have to totally go through it to get to the end of the tunnel. Just know, there is an end. And even if you’re feeling out of place in the world, you are here for a purpose, and you’re here at the perfect time.

Sometimes, it helps to know that you are loved by the universe and being helped, even if you can’t feel it at the moment. So let’s get our pebble or stone, and get ready to let it go.

Let us move through the darkness.

Take a deep breath

Place your rock under the painting.

I release any brain patterning,

subconscious or conscious thought,

or energetic resonance to the

idea that I am unworthy

Of the love of God or universal love.

I know I am inherently good and loved

At all levels.

I move into the light.
