Black Sheep, White Egg, 1989

Sears was a department store that sold clothing, sporting goods, all kinds of stuff, and they also had a department that took pictures. This painting is a depiction of family portraits that we used to take a Sears. In 1989 I was 20, just starting to realize my family dynamic and beginning the healing process from family trauma. If you also have family trauma, feel free to use the affirmation below to release it to the Universe. We don’t need it anymore.

If you happen to have something around, like pebbles or stones, please use them to signify the releasing of this trauma. You can place them on the floor, or on your desk, and when you’re done, maybe take them outside and scatter or bury them.

Breathe in, breathe out. With every breath

You breathe in the energy and unconditional

Love of the universe.

Place your rock under the painting. Say silently:

I am loved. I am a part of the family of

humanity. I release any brain patterning,

subconscious or conscious thought,

or energetic resonance to the

idea of being ‘less than’. I love myself.

I am loved for being who I am.
